Interactive Map of N.K. Roerich's Central Asian Expedition

In 2024, it marks 100 years since the beginning of N.K. Roerich's unique Central Asian expedition of 1924-1928. In honor of this significant event, we are pleased to present a new website with an interactive map of the expedition route.

The site is a non-commercial, volunteer project of an international group of enthusiasts who have been studying the route and circumstances of the expedition for a long time. We do not claim to be absolutely complete or fully accurate - the project will continue to be supplemented and improved.

The map of N.K. Roerich's Central Asian expedition was created based on available materials and research (diaries of expedition members, historical and satellite maps, and other sources), and contains more than two thousand photographs, paintings, and diary entries by N.K. Roerich and Y.N. Roerich.
